Shanique Smith

Shanique Smith is director of Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) for the Air and Missile Defense Radar (AMDR) at Raytheon Missiles & Defense, a business of Raytheon Technologies. She oversees all facets of program management and execution of the U.S. Navy’s AN/SPY-6 (V) LRIP contract, including build, test and delivery of radars for integration onto Flight III destroyers.

Smith brings more than 20 years of program management and engineering experience specific to aerospace and defense. Prior to the merger of Raytheon Company and United Technologies in 2020, she served as staff executive to the chairman and CEO of the former Raytheon Company.

Before that, she was deputy production program manager for the Tube-Launched Optically-Tracked Wireless-Guided missile (TOW®) at the former Raytheon Company Missiles Systems business. In this role she managed production efforts at Missile Systems factories, including the program supply chain base. She has also held other positions within program management and systems engineering, including section manager and integrated product team lead roles.

Smith holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Tuskegee University and a master’s degree in systems engineering from the University of Arizona.
